Assistant Principal
My name is Piper Huckelbury, and I am excited to join the Tom Bean family as the Assistant Principal!
I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma State University, my certification in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce
I’ve had the joy of working with students and teachers in many different roles. I’ve taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. I’ve also had the opportunity to work alongside many incredible educators as an Instructional Coach and working on the science curriculum writing team for grades K–5. Most recently, I completed my certification as a Texas Reading Academy Cohort Leader, along with earning National Certification in STEM Teaching. My experiences have shaped my love for learning and strengthened my belief in the importance of supporting both students and teachers.
My husband, Brett, and I have one daughter, Abby, who is living out her dream as a Wildlife Photographer & Guide. Family is incredibly important to me, and I treasure the time we get to spend together. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me relaxing with my family on the patio, watching one of our favorite shows, or traveling and making memories together. College sports are also a big part of our family. Although Texas has been home for many years, I’m still an Okie at heart! We may be a house divided, but we’re all big Oklahoma fans. We love watching football and softball, cheering on OU or OSU. Go Pokes!
I am truly excited to become part of the Tom Bean family. I believe that strong relationships and a positive culture help create a safe and supportive environment where every student can learn, grow, and succeed. I look forward to getting to know our students and families while partnering with our amazing teachers and working together to make this an incredible year at TBES!
