Tom Bean Elementary

Hello TBES!

My name is Ashley Bearden, and I am so excited to be joining TBES as the Assistant Principal this year! I have heard nothing but wonderful things about TBES and I am so excited to be part of the family!

This will be my 19th year in education. I have experience as an Assistant Principal and a classroom teacher of grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I have previously worked in Sherman ISD, McKinney ISD, and Plano ISD. I hold an Associates Degree from Collin College, Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from Texas Woman’s University, Masters of Education Degree from Lamar University, and Principal Certification through Texas A&M University at Commerce.

My husband and I live in Tom Bean, and when I am not at school, we love to attend events for our children: volleyball, basketball, XC, and track, and of course, Friday Night Tomcat Football! I have four amazing daughters, the two youngest attend TBHS. McKenzie is a senior and Macie is a freshman. My oldest daughter is a scientist, and my next oldest is an assistant band director at Rock Hill HS in Prosper.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you as we work together to support your child every day at TBES. My heartfelt commitment is to always do what’s best for the kids, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of any help to you or your family.
